Doctrine

Bible:

Originally given by inspiration of God through the agency of human authors, without error

(2 Tim 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)

God:

God is Spirit, one in essence, eternal and existing in the form of the Holy Trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. All three Persons of the Trinity are infinitely equal and fully God, yet distinct from one another

(Gen 1:26; Matt 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2)

Jesus:

The Incarnate Son of God, born of a virgin, crucified, buried, resurrected, ascended into heaven

(Matt 1:18-25; John 1:1-14; Acts 1:1-11; Phil 2:5-8)

Baptism:

By immersion in water upon profession of faith in Jesus as Savior (Believers Baptism)

(Matt 28:18-20; Acts 2:41; 16:31-33)

Communion:

For the body and bride of Christ (the Church)

(John 3:1-16; 1 Cor 11:23-28; Eph 2:8-9)

Church:

The body and bride of Christ, the pillar and support of the truth

(1 Cor 1:2; Eph 1:23; 1 Tim 3:15; Rev 1:7)

Humanity:

Created in the image and likeness of God, the pinnacle of His creation. Cursed and judged in the rebellion of Adam and Eve. After Adam and Eve, every individual of the human race has been conceived and born with a sin nature bent on selfishness, and rebellion against God

(Gen 1-3; Rom 3 & 5)

Sin:

Thoughts, intentions and actions that do not conform to the will and character of God, who is holy, without sin

(Isaiah 6; Rom 3:1-23)

Death:

Natural death is the separation of soul and spirit from the body and spiritual death is the separation of soul and spirit from God. Death is the result of Adam and Eve’s rebellion (sin) and God’s judgment upon their sin

(Gen 2:17; Luke 16:19-31; Rom 6:23; 2 Thess 1:9; Rev 20:11-15)

Salvation:

Forever forgiveness of inherited and committed sin, granted by God upon the exercise of saving faith in Jesus as Savior

(John 3:1-16; 10:28; Acts 4:12; 20:21; Eph 1:7; 2:8-9)
